KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is the first worldwide airline company founded in 1919.
KLM has 91 years of history now and it is based in the Netherlands.
KLM has many historical records that the first airline opened the first intercontinental route from Amsterdam to Asia in 1924, the first route to America and the first introduction of Boeing 747 combi.
In Korea, KLM inaugurated the route to Amsterdam with one weekly flight on Boeing 747-300 combi in 1984. Today, KLM operates 5 non-stop flights per week with Boeing 747-400 combi to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and will operate daily flights from April 2010.
KLM is a members of SkyTeam, one of the global airline alliances founded in June 2000. Nine SkyTeam member airlines as of 2009, Korean Air, Aeroflot, Aero Mexico, Air France, KLM ,Alitalia , China Southern, Czech Airlines, Delta operate to 905 destinations with 16,786 daily flights.
KLM offers dedicated service for Korean customers in the Seoul-Amsterdam route. Korean cabin crews are on board for Korean passengers and Korean language assistants are available at the departure and arrival of Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
KLM’s Korean menu in partnership with ‘Yongsusan’ is also complimented by customers.
And KLM is giving importance to build bridging role between Korea and Europe since its inauguration to Korea in 1984. Specially, KLM is supporting young students to widen their eyes to a higher world and will take an increasing interest in them.

KLM이 소속되어있는 글로벌 항공동맹체 스카이팀은 2000년 6월 설립되었습니다. 대한항공, 아에로플로트, 아에로멕시코, 에어프랑스, KLM, 알리탈리아, 중국남방항공, 체코항공, 델타 항공사가 속해있는 스카이팀은 905개도시로 매일 16,786편의 항공편을 운항하고 있습니다.
서울-암스테르담 노선에는 주고객이신 한국승객들을 위해 다양한 서비스가 준비되어있습니다. KLM 항공편에는 한국인 승무원이 탑승하여 한국승객들을 모시고 있습니다. 암스테르담 스키폴 공항에는 한국인 승객의 원활한 환승과 도착, 통역을 위해 한국인 직원이 항상 대기하고 있으며, 서울 출도착 게이트에서 한국인 승객을 도와드리고 있습니다.
KLM 네덜란드항공이 한국 전통 음식점‘용수산’과 기내식 제휴를 통해 제공하는 한국인의 입맛에 맞는 정통 한식 메뉴로 구성된 기내식도 승객들에게서 아주 좋은 반응을 얻고 있습니다.
